Yoga

As a part of a holistic approach we take in our treatment programs, we utilize yoga because of its endless benefits, especially when it comes to recovery.

Yoga is a Sanskrit word that essentially means union. It celebrates the union of a persons mind, body and soul. As addicts, this is an area we often struggle with.

Yoga Recovery

Yoga is most identifiable with its unique & challenging postures, but yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual discipline making it perfect for addiction recovery. It combines a mind-body workout with stretching, breath control, relaxation and meditation. The practice involves physical activity (as intense as you wish) along with positive thinking and being present. These techniques are applied in our substance abuse treatment programs on a weekly basis. In addition to this, yoga is also a complementary treatment for anxiety, depression and coronary heart disease. Yoga is an integral part of self-help, leading to a better well-being. Performing yoga results in better physical health, mental stability, and self-realization.

Yoga Practice & How We Can Help

Our team includes certified Yoga Instructors who come on a weekly basis to run classes as a part of our holistic approach to addiction recovery. The classes are inclusive of everyone’s health and experience. You’ll have access to meditation, reiki, and other fitness & wellness classes during your stay. Moreover, our team of experienced counsellors work with clients daily to guide and support them as they go through every phase of recovery from addiction. We have one of the lowest staff to client ratios in the country, so you’ll get ample time focusing on what you want most out of your recovery. We don’t force our clients into anything, all we ask is that they be open minded. Think our program might be a good fit?
