Alcohol Treatment
Our Alcohol Treatment Program in Ontario is focused on creating an individualized program tailored to addressing why a person drinks. There can be a lot of underlying, or unresolved issues which become barriers for a person to quit, and that’s where we come in. With an abstinence based holistic approach, and involvement from the client and their support system, we can find a program structure that works for them.
Having said that, the second philosophy is that when treating alcohol addiction, there are certain elements that if dealt with specifically will greatly increase a person’s chance of success. These being addressing the social acceptability and legality of the drug (because alcohol is a drug), and all the social situations that come with it. Since multiple counsellors on our team have lived experience with alcoholism, they can relate and share from their experience on not only how to deal with your alcohol addiction, but how to deal with and enjoy life in recovery.
