Reiki Therapy
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and stress reduction technique. Reiki is performed by the practitioner laying his/her hands over the client, using various hand position, to increase energy flow. The origin of the word Reiki consists of two Japanese words, ‘Rei’ meaning ‘God’s Wisdom or Higher Power’ and ‘Ki’ for ‘life force energy’. The general idea is to enhance life force energy so clients can be less likely to get sick or felt stressed or anxious. The practitioner harnesses this “ki” to flow their hands into the client’s body for positive energy. Reiki is used to treat a person’s mind, body, and spirit so they can have a sense of relaxation and bring about spiritual healing and self-improvement.
How We Can Help!
At Another Road, our team of experienced counsellors work with clients daily to guide and support them as they go through every phase of recovery from addiction. We offer a home like environment to encourage growth and focus by having a program designed that is individual centred. Another Road’s program helps individuals identify triggers, work through grief and trauma, manage impulses and emotions, improve self-esteem, and rebuild relationships with trust and security from loved ones by determining the root causes of addiction. Having a low counsellor to client ratio, our clients have very substantial one-on-one attention necessary for a successful recovery. Another Road also offers an Alumni program that is to ensure a means for clients to stay focused and connected on their recovery after our residential treatment.
